Athletic Bilbao will look to put pressure on La Liga’s top-four with a win over Granada as we move into matchday 32. This match at San Mames on this Friday will have the hosts starting fifth with 57 points, while the visitors are 19th with 17 points. Athletic is four points behind the top-four teams, while Granada is 11 points behind safety. With only 21 points left to play for, including this round, Athletic still have a chance to keep fighting for Champions League qualification. They drew 1-1 with Villarreal last time out, and coupled with a 2-0 loss to Real Madrid, they now have just a single point from two games. Athletic can’t afford to drop points against a relegation-threatened team, and their home form should come to their rescue. They are unbeaten in their last 15 league matches at this venue, winning 11 and drawing four.

Granada managed to draw 1-1 in the reverse fixture, coming back from a goal conceded in the sixth minute. For now, though, the visitors are fighting for their safety and defeated Deportivo Alaves 2-0 last time out. That result ended a run of five straight defeats, three of which have seen them fail to score. The visitors have won only three games in this league campaign but are yet to win back-to-back matches.
